Following a challenging 2009 Swan Maxi Class Circuit we would like to congratulate @Robas who are the overall winners of the Swan Maxi Circuit. @Robas now proudly hold the prestigious silver Asprey Maxi Circuit trophy. Gerard Logel the talented owner/driver of @Robas sailed with an amateur crew who have been key participants on the Swan Maxi Circuit since the introduction of the class in 2008. The opening regatta to the Swan Maxi Class was in Hublot PalmaVela in April. This event saw Favonius, winners of the 2008 Swan Maxi Circuit, continue their winning streak by securing a thrilling 1st place overall in PalmaVela’s Mini Maxi Cruiser/Racer Class. Favonius narrowly beat Swan 82 Grey Goose to the winning spot and left Grey Goose in 2nd place with @Robas securing 3rd place. The second event of the season was the Giraglia Rolex Cup, this long distance race was a test of teamwork throughout the race for both crews and their yachts. Swan 601 @Robas claimed 1st place with Swan 65 Peak taking 2nd place and Swan 80 Favonius in 3rd place. The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Sardinia was the concluding event of the 2009 Swan Maxi Class. This exciting regatta saw Gerard Logel owner / driver of @Robas with his trusted team successfully secure 1st place overall in the 2009 Swan Maxi Class Circuit. The Swan Maxi Class Circuit was developed in 2008 for Swan yachts over 60 feet. It is a competitive annual racing series made up of a selection of the most prestigious regattas in the Mediterranean which continually attracts first class Swan Maxi racing yachts.
