The Swan Maxi yachts competing at Hublot PalmaVela, 14 – 18 April 2010 had an exciting week of racing in the spectacular Bay of Palma. The Real Club de Nautico Palma hosted this lively regatta which had an active social programme for all participants. Swan 601, @Robas, owned by Gerard Logel, celebrated first place in the Swan Maxi Class at the regatta. Gerard Logel, raced with his long time mainly French crew of friends and family who have been racing together for many years. Logel has been a keen participant on the Swan Maxi Class Circuit ever since it was founded. This year Gerard will be defending the Swan Maxi Class Circuit trophy which he won in 2009. In second place at Hublot PalmaVela was Swan 66S, Godot, owned by Paul Fevang. Godot a newcomer to the Swan Maxi Class Circuit beat Swan 82, Nikata, owned by Nicolai Tangen who came in third and Swan 68, Risktaker, owned by Peter Jebsen who came in fourth. The next event in the Swan Maxi Class Circuit is the Giraglia Rolex Cup held in St Tropez, France, by the Yacht Club Italiano. The Giraglia Rolex Cup is one of the most renowned yacht races in the Mediterranean and routinely delivers consistent breezes and excellent sailing.
