Swan 60, Celebrates Winning the Award for Best Placed Swan in the RORC 600

The RORC Caribbean 600 certainly lived up to its billing as a high-speed thrilling race. After several days of light winds, the gusts came in and launched the RORC Caribbean 600 fleet into an action packed 600-mile offshore race.

An exciting RORC Caribbean 600 saw knots of 22 and some record breaking pace from the competing yachts. Fenix won the coveted silver Asprey plate award for the Best Placed Swan within the RORC Caribbean 600.

Swan 60, Fenix, owned by Richard Balding was the third yacht to cross the line in Antigua in the IRC Class One. Fenix saw off competition from the two other competing Swans; Northern Child and Selene.

The next event in the Swan Caribbean Challenge will be the International Rolex Regatta, 25 – 27 March in St. Thomas, BVI. Antigua Sailing Week in April will be the final racing event for Swan owners in the Caribbean Challenge.
