 The new Swan Maxi Class, established by Nautor’s Swan, will bring together a network of Swan Maxi owners from across the globe to enjoy a structured, active racing circuit which will incorporate several of the best regarded regattas of the year.
The racing circuit, developed for Swan yachts over 60feet, will be supported by a series of exclusive social functions, held at each regatta, which will embrace the stylish values associated with Swan.
The Class will adopt the ‘owner-driver’ rule, and will allow class members to compete at all official circuit events with separate race starts dedicated to the class.
The official Swan Maxi Class circuit for 2008 will be comprised of:
Regate di Primavera, Trofeo Aurora, Portofino (Italy) 11-13 April
Rolex Capri Race Week, Capri (Italy) 20-24 May
Giraglia Rolex Cup, St Tropez (France) 8-14 June
Rolex Swan Cup, Porto Cervo (Italy) 8-14 September
Nautor’s Swan has commissioned a unique annual trophy for the Swan Maxi Class, which will be presented to the inaugural winner at the Genoa International Boat Show in October 2008. There will also be dedicated prizes for sub-divisions of the class.
Rolex, a long-term partner of Nautor’s Swan, is keen to support the circuit, and will award a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Chronometer to the winner.
