Of the eleven entries in the Swan Maxi Class, it was Swan 601 Spirit of Jethou which lead the fleet, finishing fifth overall in Group A and remaining top of the Swan Maxi Class standings by a point. Owner, Sir Peter Ogden, received the prize for taking victory in the class from the Mayor of Saint Tropez during a function at La Citadelle.

The Giraglia Rolex Cup was the third event in Swan Maxi Class circuit and Spirit of Jethou has enjoyed a fine run of form finishing first and second in the previous two meetings for the Maxis. The inaugural title remains open for contention with another strong display from Swan 80 Favonius, which sits in second place in the circuit. The Swan 80 finished second in the Swan Maxi Class in Giraglia, followed by Flying Dragon the Swan 70 which also continues to make a big impact in the circuit. Both were awarded with prizes by Nautor’s Swan for their top three finishes at the event.
