The Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo was the location for the second Owners Meeting in the inaugural year of the Swan Maxi Circuit. Attendance was high with 21 yachts of the fleet represented, resulting in a successful analysis of the 2008 circuit and a valid ballot for finalising the 2009 Circuit.

The attendees of the initial Swan Maxi Class Owners Meeting, held during Rolex Capri Race Week in May, were consulted on the 2009 Swan Maxi Class circuit with two primary results:

-          The 2009 circuit is to remain within the Med

-          The 2009 Circuit will consist of 4 events only with the Giraglia Rolex Cup and the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, receiving resounding support and therefore becoming certain fixtures for next year.

The ballot at the September Swan Maxi Owners meeting resulted in the confirmation of the 2009 Swan Maxi Class Circuit as:

1. Palmavela, April
2. Giraglia Rolex Cup, June – Inshore races only
3. Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, September – Mandatory Circuit event
4. Les Voiles de St Tropez, October
